Manchester United - The Emotion

Every now and then, when I watch a game featuring the Red Devils against any of the top teams in the football leagues, be it in Europe or England, a singular thought always strikes me: What made me support this Club? Why I am still committed to supporting this club to go on achieving more and more... they have achieved 17 EPL trophies, just one short of Liverpool's record haul. They have 2 UCL trophies, 3 short of Liverpool's. They have won the league for the past 2 years. They boast a squad featuring footballers that love playing football.

Does Man Utd really need my support? They are a commercial giant, a marketing beast and a footballing ad for all those budding footballers.

For me, Man Utd came along at a time when I just started playing football. I have been living and breathing football for the past 18 years. I did not know to cross the ball with the curve and venom David Beckham used to do it. Or even dribble and waltz pass defenders like Ryan Giggs did. Or even smash the ball with the same amount of speed as Andrew Cole and Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Or even spray those defence splitting passes as Paul Scholes does on a regular basis. Or maybe even defend like a beast just like what Jaap Stam used to do.

All these players are masters of their craft. Beckham - crossing, Giggs - dribbling, Scholes- Passing, Roy Keane - The Destroyer

These players serve as examples to look up to. There were other players who came along who managed to wow the world with their skill and wit on the pitch.

Man Utd deserves alot of credit for sustaining my interest in the game. Coz if I did not watch those weekend games or mid week ties, I probably wouldnt have someone to look up to/to aspire to be.

If I have to pick one player that I want to mould my play around, that would be no.18 Paul Scholes. And his understudy is already in the wings, waiting to take over his place on the pitch, No.16 Michael Carrick.

Man Utd, keep on playing football the way the gods of football wanted it to be, and I will keep on proving myself that I can recreate that on the pitch. Cheers to that.

You don't need football idols to be at the club you support. You don't need the club's excellent success to be the reason. You don't need others to influence you....

Sometimes you don't even need a reason to support the club...I guess we are born to be A Red Devil... Born with the passion and desire as though you are a Man Utd player yourself...

That's what that can also make you a Man Utd supporter
