You know what.. the whole experience of sittin for a university exam is so much different.. the
fat lady just says to turn over to the front page which signals the start of the exam.. what the hell.. haha.. come on.. u cant possibly include the time taken to write my matriculation number into consideration as well rite... power la.. then another thing is that almost everyone is quiet after the exam papers are collected.. woah.. we used to make so much of noise back then in our O levels and A levels or maybe not.. oh well.. congrats Manish..
First exam of my uni life is over.. at the same time..
my bro is takin his second last exam of his uni life!!! haha.. wow..Information Technology is a wonderful module with wonderful terms and wonderful pple.. but i am just not that wonderful to think abt IT in such a wonderful manner.. but u know what.. IT is here to stay.. and i guess.. yeah u know what i am tryin to say rite..
Another point to ponder.. Singapore's current population stands at 4.68 million.. Racial mix stands at 75.2% Chinese, 13.6% Malays, Indians 8.8%, Eurasians and other minorities form the remaining 2.4%. If only there were an influx of say.. Australians, Filipinos, Alaskans, Martians, Jupiterans, the whole lot man.. the point i am trying to put across here is a rather straightforward one.. when i am asked whether am i from India.. I will stand up, chest pumped out and stomach in and proudly sing "Mari kitalah rakyat Singapura sama sama menuju ke bahagia... " I mean 20 years down the road, i think we will all be proud of our culture and roots and social fabric of our country.. Currently not so much.. Coz its a nation in progress.. India and China have been up and runnin for more than 50 years and they have a database of memories and culture and a sense of belongin to the country.. somehow Singapore has indeed proclaimed and proved to be a very safe country free from political strife and much social crime.. But still what else do we want.. Are we as Singaporeans happy.. Am i as a Singaporean male who has given 2 years of his time to serve the country and proudly say " The mud on my face is soil, my country's soil" .. For me my memories are deeply rooted in my days at my neighbourhood playin soccer with the big guys, playing chapteh and sepak takraw in pri sch, throwing ice on the floor and being scolded for littering.. attending family functions, weddings, funerals, fallin into a drain, being a drag queen.. i mean the list is endless but come on la.. its there more to being Singaporean than just exams, studies, work, National Day Parade, Channel News Asia.. everythin follows a flow chart in Singapore. I dont know.. somehow at times.. I have been restricted and compelled to follow the Singaporean way of having to do well for my exams, then job interview then gettin a family.. Govt will shower u with all the baby bonus packages.. then work work work.. Are we set for bigger things... Is there ultimately a need for us to be on this Earth.. I dont know la what i am talking .. I just feel at times.. Singaporean gotta learn how to chill.. or maybe i just think too much or maybe just feel that at times exams can make u think of ur existence and the need to do well for exams.. Go figure.. On another track, For me now.. I see that I am goin to slowly move on to another sport, Ultimate Frisbee. Soccer has been in my blood since i was born and it will always be.. But as u grow older.. I feel that my legs cant take it anymore.. but I still wanna persevere and score that goal..
Was just playing just soccer just now and i was outrun by this young kid.. i felt terrible.. i mean i have been outrun this badly for a long time.. The winds have changed.. Its time to buck up and improve.. Everything has to improve.. Everything is worth living for.. Just ask that young kid who outran me.. he wanted to prove a point to the big guy who tried to bulldoze him.. Gonna make it count.. Ole ole ole ole ole ole...
