I m not a soldier...

Its abt time the SAF realised that i am not cut out to be a soldier... although i left behind a few friends, no enemies, one chinese master sgt who thinks that my race is one of the most unique in this world, a very rich soccer culture that i will miss, a very truthful and trustworthy section commander, all the ops, the first and last parades by mr dick, the occasional speech by my workaholic office commanding.. all the high rankin personnels.. i guess i had to move on.. the SAf moves on.. i am just one of the many pple that the regulars have seen and moved on.. u might think that u have left a mark on the pple over there in my camp but the mark fades away after a few days or maybe 2 weeks.. then they carry on life as per normal..

I realised as a NSF.. u can make as many marks u want on the fellow regulars..u can go thru the most gruelling and life threatening situations.. u can vomit blood,sweat, shit and mucus... u can get stung by the most deadliest creatures in the planet earth, u can suffer the most severe physical trainin u will ever receive.. and on the next day, u receive ur pink ic.. U ORD. Then u feel... why did u have to go thru all that.. then u think again.. i guess it was my luck!!! As an NSF, everybody has a chance to go thru a real tough life or a real slack life.. its up to ur fate and luck. In the real world, i guess its not that easy. Live and learn, my friend. Life is abt choices and decisions. Make them or you will be left standing!! ORD!!!

The thing abt budget airlines..

At first when i was told that there would be no seats allocated to us on the plane coz its free seatin.. so first come first serve.. So i was thinkin.. in typical Singaporean fashion.. everyone would be rushin to the boardin gates the second the signal to board the plane is given.. not only that..not only rush to board.. i figure there would be all kinds of rough and evil tactics to get a headstart from the rest of the pack.. there would be elbowin, shovin, trippin, pushin and possibly a few vulgarities thrown in just to get the first pick on ur seats.. Now not to be undone by all this tactics.. i made it a point together with my family to wait near the gate and rush as in walk slightly faster to the gate so as to get good seats.. well haha.. in the end.. i guess even if u were the 1st passenger or the 99th passenger.. its all the same.. coz after all service or the lack of service is the same to all passengers aboard this Tiger Airways.. how foolish of me to think so lowly of my fellow Singaporeans.. haha.. well.. its always good to think ahead and prevent any unnecessary troubles or discomfort.. but seriously this BudgetAirlines is a real good worth of money for short distance travels... for example within the region.. to Thailand, Phuket... If u are short or medium built.. it should be ok.. only for those slightly lanky and taller fellows.. it might pose a bit of problems... i guess in the end the low cost of the tickets makes the discomfort worth it..

Anyway.. Carryin on to Phuket.. I would recommend this place to any group of friends or family who want to chill and just relaxxxxxx... If u are the beach boy or gal type.. then there is alot of activities to keep u entertained.. From suntannin to jet skiing to para sailing to scuba diving to snorkelling to just lazin along the beaches.. its so much more comfortable than sentosa beaches.. the one thing i realised is that no one gives a damn abt how u look in ur beach wear.. be it whether u are fat and hairy.. or thin and bald.. as long as u show attitude and confidence... u can have fun... so no worries if u are havin second thoughts abt showin that flabby skin of urs.. i didnt.. haha.. Phuket is just an hour away.. pack ur bags man..

Back from a holiday.. Feel good too..

Well.. Back from my 4 days 3 nights on the wonderful beaches and street of Phuket,Thailand.. Well.. To sum up Phuket.. It serves a few functions..

Firstly, Sea Sports which i didnt do much and plan to next time..secondly, shopping galore.. serious u need a good bargaining will to handle all the non stop squabblin for prices of anythin under the sun.. from caps.. to accident coverage... to food.. everythin can be bargained..

thirdly, the beaches.. it is seriously a convergence of pple from the west and the east.. majority being the westerners.. with their bikini clad gals and indifferent attitude abt modesty... it is certainly a sight to behold.. coz u see this indian gal wearin an oversized shirt and shorts to the beach, then u see this romanian dame with her 2 piece suit.. well.. thats diff in cultures for u.. but seriously.. a beach is for everybody to dont give a damn abt anybody else.. it is a place to soak in the sun and just to be urself..oh well.. i guess.. its abt feelin comfortable in the end and wear what u feel good in and thats the bottomline.. coz mother nature said so..
