Owen Hargreaves

Due to hostility coming from one end of the Kop, I have to restate my stand with Owen Hargreaves.

Owen Hargreaves was bought as a replacement for Roy Keane. Basically, a destroyer of everything good abt the other team. However, at Man Utd, u cant solely defend and play a defensive role. You need to know how to attack. He couldnt play at the base of a 4 3 3 position for the simple reason was that his inability to spray the balls around. I have criticized his way of playin as he was playin the Makelele role. This is something that Man Utd does not believe. THats why Michael Carrick has prospered in that position as he has the ability to pick out a pass from 20 , 30 yards. Hargreaves does not play that way..

However, when he was given the free roaming rights to roam down the right flank, he has grown in stature. and this is what i mean by rising to the criticism... Paul Scholes similarly..

And in the champions league, u gotta play the continental way if u want to beat the likes of barcelona, real madrid, milan.. so attackin football will definitely take a back seat...

Liverpool Chelsea later... Let me put my bet on the line.. Chelsea to win 2 nil. Something tells me.. that pool will concede an early goal.. prove me wrong man prove me wrong.. Steven gerrard, i am a huge admirer of ur passion, talent and love for the game.. However, pls let ur passion pass on the other players on the team.

Moscow, here I come....

We are going to Moscow... Follow, follow, follow we are going to Moscow..

Put ur hands up put ur hands up put ur hands up put ur hands up.. bloody awesome.. the atmosphere, the intensity, the movement, the opponents and of course the only No.18, the ginger hair ninja, Paul Scholes... Before there was Steven gerrard for England, there was paul Scholes... Take a bow son, take a bow.

Messi, Iniesta, THIERRY HENRY, xavi, deco, valdes, puyol, lanchu, banchu, podah.. whoever there is in the barcelona team... you can all get lost from here.. all that pre match talk abt MAN UTD peeing in the pants has proved that u all are the ones that lost ur pants.. get lost la.. Go back to spain and say hi to ruud van nistelroory and gabriel heinze for what they missed out on....

Edwin Van Der Sar- 7/10 : Made one solid save. Few errors, did not spectacularly well but definitely had a calming influence on the back line. He will play in the final...

Owen Hargreaves : 9/10 : What a man for the occasion. He can cross, he can defend and he plays football like he has studied for the past 20 years. He is what I called an intelligent player. He plays football by the book. Not the kampung style u see from rooney at times. He deserves an oscar for this game.

Rio Ferdinand : 9/10 : Captain. Superb heading ability. Powerful in the air. Kept out EToo and company. Powerful in the air once again. He and Brown were almost perfect la..

Wesley Brown : 9/10 As solid as he was, he has shown what England missed out on. He has an eye for the ball. He has never backed down from a challenge and will never will. Messi was made to eat humble pie. Power performance

Patrice Evra : 8/10 : Not the best performance. But he did what he had to do. Wipe out that ass of a messi.. Runs forward were solid but not perfect crossing. He was the perfect match for messi. Had to be Substituted for a kick on the face by Deco.

Michael Carrick : 9/10 : Solid performance : He owned the midfield initially. Then got too tired to run too much. But came back in the second half. Power performance. Passing, heading, give it to him

Paul Scholes : 10/10 : Goal scorer. Typical paul scholes performance. Bad tackling but thats all. everything else was perfect. He is one player i look up to on the pitch. No.18. I will get his name on the back of my jersey probably. Michael carrick, scholes and anderson. These 3 players are what i called midfielders who play football the gods wanted it to be played, the way i wanted it to be played.

Park Ji Sung : 11/10 : He is in no doubt the ultimate off the ball runner in the world!!! He chases, chases, chases, chases and goes on on on on onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn......... Runnnnnnnnnnnsssssssssss Runnnnnnnnnnnsssssssssssssss....... Runnnnnnnnnnnnssssssssssss......He is not 3 Lung park.. he can sponsor his own marathon... Park Ji Sung Marathon : When there is no ball, I do the running for the team. Besides his running, he can cross the ball man.. Solid crosses..Latest news: He had an extra lung implanted at half time.. No wonder la..

Nani : 7/10 : Worst player on the pitch. But still better performance than agst chelsea. He has all the skills, lost the ball a few times. Few good crosses. Had one or two solid chances to score but lack of experience on the big stage.

Cristiano Ronaldo : 9/10 : He led the team by example. Tricks, flicks, clicks, everything la.. Too good. Movement. Crossing. Back heels. Chased back for the cause. Superb performance. He said that he will score at old trafford, his team performance made up for it. Power.

Carlos Tevez : 11/10 : This guy has mastered one quality rooney hasnt : Composure when it comes to tackling and holding the ball. He has everything. He lacks a bit of pace. But in europe, i figure he stands out. Powerful performance. Solid all round. Ran like a dog and tackled like a cheetah. This guy has been a revelation. He has everything of a forward. Powerful!!!

Substitutes:

Darren Fletcher: 7/10 : Fergie brought him on at the right time. Good and commendable performance.

Ryan Giggs : 7/10 : It was an OK performance. Not too bad. Held the ball up in the right places. Solid

Mikael Silvestre :7/10: Managed to outwit messi in his only encounter. For that he gets a 7 and high five!!!

With that done, ladies and gentleman. I hope to see CHELSEA in the final. Revenge is sweet. Liverpool can go for another season trophyless. They are ok with it la, seriously. But nevertheless, we will take on anyone who turns up la.

Man Utd, on the way to Moscow. Tonight was the night that you all showed the rest of the world that u are a force to be reckoned with in Europe.

Bring them on la.. Opinions anyone!! Bring them on la. West ham!!! Anderson will play now.

Post Semester Review

With semester 2 done and dusted, it calls for a post sem review as usual to pick up a few memories, learn from a few laughs and just to spot the masala here and there..

oh well for starters, this time round took 5 mods - definitely very interesting subjects with a diverse skills required - a bit of essays, graphs, numbers, calculations, essays again and of course creative and deliberate thinking was also involved... all in all.. i think this semester was definitely much more "fun" and exciting than the previous sem... the first sem of course being the settling in phase and gettin my way around the sch and finding my feet... tryin to use my brain cells for some things like studyin.. more than that.. this sem has been a breakthrough of sorts.. now for the next big thing..Trying to find where does my niche lie.. Tourism, HR, Finance... These few months will settle it.. to put the football perspective on it

Man Utd win both trophies : Choose HR

Man Utd wil the English Premier League only : Tourism

Man Utd win the Champions League only : Finance

Ok... Organizational behavior was definitely a real insight into the world of human resource, it was one module which i really enjoyed just for all the insights and the various theories that u can apply to the real world as my friend said " its common sense in words"... But definitely, i enjoyed all the seminars and of course my project mates... they were a bunch of hardworking and time consuming friends , we had the perfectionist on one side, the temporarily handicapped on the crutches, another fellow gunner on the other side, and my tjc junior on the other.. and of course me, the driver in the middle... It was really fun and definitely really enriching workin with them... We may have taken the longer route for certain things, but i guess what wrong with takin the longer route when u are in the business school... the longer the route, the harder the journey, the more it stays in ur head...

Statistics was simply the best la.. haha.. in every sense of the word.. u could not understand a thing at time but at times.. u just gotta do it la... in the end, this paper was just my party pooper la... lets see how it goes... one of the most boring subjects i have taken this sem but one regret is that maybe i should have spent more time on this subject to ignite my passion for this subject.. coz i enjoyed stats back in junior college.. but i guess, the lack of time took the toll on me...one for the future..

Communication fundamentals was definitely the breakthrough of some proportion.. i managed to do my powerpoint slides for the first time man.. what are the odds of that happening... Masala Express Pte LTd.. we add the spice to your rice.. haha. solid lines and it was really fun la the classes... The class ethic was quiet at first but in true business student style, we spoke up when the time called for it... bunch of funny fellows as well.. thats the thing with me, where there is me, there is a sense of humour... there is always a positive thing to things when i am around... but i have realised one thing.. I dont seem to get the hardcore and serious fellows in my groups.. as in u know, the garang, super enthusiastic, hardcore business professionals who talk nothing but geting 5/5 for their GPA, who talk abt being on the dean list till they die... who talk abt ruling the business empire for generations to come.. thats not me, and thankfully, i haven met these fellows in my first year.. but i guess in time to come, i will meet them and shake their hands..and of course, thanks to the wonderful ideas of my groupmates, gotta wear my indian suit and of course MAST KALANDAR... was dancing a bit here and there...

Economics was a really solid subject in all sense of the word. it has heightened my info and general knowledge of the various economies of the world.. it has made me think that much harder... it has made me a much more fuller person in terms of economic knowledge.. the classes were a bit slow and dead at times, but i used to enjoy the china man go on and on abt his tales of econs... He spent his first 40 years of his life dedicated to studyin econs..and he is goin to spend his next 40 years prob teachin us what he learnt.. Econs is a subject for everyone...

And finally, marketing.. marketin lectures were power la.. they really showed you what the real world was all about.. the hard cold facts.. the power of competition and what u need to do to know really compete in the world of brands and of course the dating scene..the power of positioning urself as what kind of a life partner.. what do u want to compete with ur soul mate.. on the price, product, promotion or place.. haha.. and of course.. my marketing grp was also a solid bunch of marketers who really embodied the whole spirit of marketing.... really enjoyed working with them... marketing is all abt innovation, creativity and of course how u market urselves.. i guess this marketing grp of mine really marketed themselves.. had the marketing guru, the liverpudlian which would not accept defeat , the biker chief adminstrator, the shakira hipster, the jillicious laughter.. i guess marketing is really a subject that every single on of us should possess within us... it should be taught back in junior college... It has really adjusted a few of my perceptions towards marketing and brands... marketing was definitely a very enriching experience...definitely worth taking as a second major..

Marketing and Entrepreneurship is for everyone.. dynamic of thought, outspoken, open minded, vocal and how to market urself... the ultimate irony for marketing lectures were that the marketing lecturer could not even market his own lecture la... pathetic la.. Then there was SIFE as well... Student's in social enterprise as well.. lets see how it goes with that... very promising... then there was the biz case competition... was fun for the sleepover... haha.. and the interrogation by the judges.. then there was the tournament.. solid tournaments.... few goals here and there.. all in all... the stds have improved. i got to keep myself busy for this sem and not to lose my fire and of course, that coveted major!!! photos of my marketing team and my last sem tutorial grp... didnt spend much time with them.. but i guess they are a really bunch of fun loving and positive minded individuals... they know how to mix it up when it comes to work and play... give them an Oscar for that..

One final saying.. Life is abt hard work, life is abt working.. but dont make life work you, u gotta work for your life... coz life is worth living!!

April 27, 2008

That Nani....

Look at the guy in the middle.. you would think that he is someone who enjoys being the centre of attention.. enjoys playing football.. enjoys the spectacular side of things.. enjoys playing for Man Utd.. would be an excellent footballer.. knows how to pass, shoot, tackle, cross and prob know to head as well.. BULLSHIT!!! this ass of an idiot has not mastered the one thing that you need that every leader on the pitch has to have and that is "DECISION - MAKING"

Alll leaders are known for their decisions and their consequences... similarly players are known for their decision making on the pitch as well... NANI is not one of them... he has failed as footballer.. he has mastered the art of playing for himself. he is what u called an individual in a team... he plays for his own name, his own pleasure and passes only when he has no other choice.. bloody basket case... useless mad ass of an idiot... called urself a professional and playin like soccer is a one man game... 7 times. he had the opportunity to counter attack and 7 times.. the bastard either short, made the wrong choice and lost the ball... he is lost it.. for all he can do.. he cant do the simple thing in a game.. and that is to make a decision.. u may have all the skills on the pitch.. dribbling, passing ability, crossing, heading but if u dont know when to do the right thing.. u are shit, worse than that, u are useless and u are a liability... Nani, trust me.... u were the most cursed player on the pitch yesterday.. if u want to play football, learn to play as a team and learn to play for the team... if u want to play for urself, go join a circus.. they will laugh u off.. bloody useless fellow..

I had said previously, ANDERSON and VIDIC would be crucial.. Vidic was crucial until he got busted by that cheap drug addict whom they called, drogba.. that fellow is a real cracker la... he should be shot dead.. he should be used as a dartboard and hear him whine.. this players are meant for drama school, not the pitch.. such is the amount of hatred and thirst for his expulsion from the game... he ranks there with Lauren, viera, and of course, el hadgi diouf... pathetic la..

ANDERSON, class player.. he has mastered the game, esp the ENG game in such a short while.. and its a real compliment to him.. south americans such as VERON, KLEBERSON took a long while and suffered and ultimately left the ENG Game...I give him the crown la... he is my star player for Man Utd after Vidic in terms of fire, passion and sheer grit...

There are very few players out there who i respect coz they really play football, they love football and they just love gettin a tackle in.. These are warriors.. these are matryrs... they will give their life and blood for the game of football.. they deserve a guard of honour... To name a few.. and there are very few of them trust me... 1) Nemanja Vidic 2) Rooney 3) Stevie G 4) Carragher 5) Anderson 6) Alan Smith ...

Man Utd vs Barcelona.. its has to be our game.. we have to destroy and finish the spanish team... the catalan mouses... we gotta play fast and accurate soccer.. Nani must not play and must be on the bench... that bastard deserves no place right now... Ronaldo is losing... Anderson will definitely have a major part to play... Anderson, Rooney, Vidic and Tevez.. These 4 will decide it for Man Utd!!! When it comes to the big game, these 4 players have never let us down.. they wont now!!!

Man Utd vs Barcelona vs Chelsea

Downright disgusting, pathetic, fruitless, insipid, timid, brainless and at times overly frustrating game of soccer. As a man utd fan for more than 9 plus years.. this has to go down as one of the most tasteless performances i have ever seen from the red devils in a long time.. they said that they were champions elect but chose to act like a bunch of pussies agst a team like barcelona that claim that they play football the way the gods wanted them to be played..

I say bullshit and get lost la... U wanna talk abt good football... dont talk abt the slow pace u all played football.. barcelona said they had tonnes of possession, but did they even use the ball properly.. Xavi talks like as if he is the master of passing... Come on la.. Fergie said we gave a workmanlike performance.. I think fergie has lost his marbles... and just for that insipid performance, i definitely that Barcelona have a chance of going thru to the final.. They stand a higher chance than Man Utd right now... as a man u fan, i just feel taht no way la.. the odds are agst man utd now... As a home team, they have to come out and attack and this will holes at the back...lionel messi, thierry henry, bojan kiric will exploit the holes... they will puncture man utd into the core...

pathetic la.. this is not soccer... downright disgusted.. even liverpool play much better soccer than this la at times..haha. ok la jokes aside..I take back whatever i said in the previous post regarding the way the beautiful game is going to pan out.. As a football fan that prides itself in not supporting the club just because they win trophies, but rather the manner in which they spring their passes, their wing play, their spreading of play, their combative spirit, their eye for goal and of course their passion for the game..

that game was one of my lowest points of a man utd fan la... it beats even the 5 nil trashing by chelsea... coz we deserved to lose on that night.. how can we go to a stadium like nou camp and park the bus in front of the goal... are we bunch of cowards or what... what happened in rome... we played football, in lyon, we played football.. then why not spain... this calls for a change of mentality la sir fergie.. u can be a manager for 17 years... but come on la.. that wasnt the right approach to playin football. we played like wigan, like a greece or worse like a bunch of evertonians.... we chose to defend ourselves.. like as if we were overawed by the occasion... i cant say enough... i just had it la... what a game la to showcase to the world how disgusting the game has turned into.. phew.. how did i survive the game.. how is it possible... what were u thinking.. we have the squad, we had the people.. aiyah.. terrible la.. hargreaves has to buck up his crossing in the second leg.. park ji sung has to get another lung la.. tevez and rooney have to improve their finishing... and bloody ronaldo.. u gotta to stop being complacent la.. bleady arrogance is getting to your head la..

Man Utd Chelsea - I say man utd to end chelsea's home record because of one person only, in fact two Anderson and Vidic!! Vidic to destroy drogba, when i mean destroy i mean destroy, drogba is a bloody two time ass of a hole.. Bloody strong and powerful in the air but acts like a 14 year old premature basket case... come on la... even babies dont cry and whine as much as u do.. Vidic will put u in ur grave la.. Rooney has to stand up... Anderson will show mikel, lampard and ballack what is the meaning of passion for the game.. playing soccer till ur last breath!! 1 nil to the red devils!!

Irony of the the Kop..

After completing my paper today, i just had to point out this wonderful wonder of the so called Kop at Anfield. All Liverpool fans will say... that the Kop has a magnetic effect on the goal, and its sort of the 12th player.. and yeah, the ball will somehow be sucked into the goal. and yeah it did happened..

well, what can u say when both goals are scored at the Kop, one being a goal from kuyt and one being an own goal... the irony of the Kop la seriously.. it has a magnetic effect on the ball.. today i have witnessed it in reality.

Tonight is the night, Red Devils will show what they mean by class, quality and total football.. i am not gonna say that they will destroy barcelona.. but it will be a game that every neutral has to watch.. just for the names alone... Tevez, messi, eto, xavi, rooney, nani, ronaldo, hargreaves, Ronaldo... If u are a football fan, u wont miss it, if u are not a football, u will be one after watching this game..

One more paper and thats it.. Come on manish!!!

April 18, 2008

Matter of perception...

Manish, once again its over.. 2 exam papers are over.. and i look forward to the next two... Exams, singaporeans live by them and die by them.. for me, i just go thru them.. for me, whats more impt is what i learn from them.. yes thats true.. we can indeed learn something from our textbooks that we can apply to our real lifes.. thats why i am glad to have chosen a business school to pursue my undergraduate studies...

I have decided, that i have to give back to my education system what i did not get from them, a sense of direction.. maybe few years down the road, after settling a few things in life, i will want to step onto the education grounds and educate the future of our nation, the next generation.. WHAT NOT TO DO... learn from my mistakes that i did back in primary school, secondary school, junior college.. there is no point living life if u want to live it for urself... i wanna tell them life is abt studies, life is abt learning beyond the books, its not abt mugging for exams, its abt learning the wonders of life.. what makes up a human ego.. i think among all the various discoveries that we have made and uncovered.. the human mind is the ultimate fascination.. If u can master the human mind, trust me...u can never.. we humans are the biggest hypocrites.. if u want to dedicate a life to conquering the human mind, it wont go to waste... Mastering the economy, the market forces the supply demand curves, the rain cycle, the social identity theory, the expectancy theory of motivation, the linear regression , the test for Cu 2 + , all pales in comparison...

If u want to help somebody today, go to that nearby primary school of u all and tell the kid, to go up to the teacher, and ask him or her? "whats the meaning of life?" shall i have fun and live life like a loafer... we are in this world for a reason and we better live up to it.. Dharma is the word. Karma is the bank of deeds. And finally, strike a balance between the mind, heart and soul. Come on !!! Ignite urself and dont just laze around.. DONT JUST BE SOMEBODY !!! BE URSELF!!

Blessing's from Above

A wise man told me yesterday

Manish, always remember 2 things in life...

1) Always work hard in whatever you do

2) Always play hard in whatever you do

3) Never overdo either one coz "Life is abt balance"

Then he mentioned this,

But remember, your parents have worked hard for you to be here, so when u ever think of not playing or working hard, always think of them and u will find ur motivation once again.

Now the point here is, parents are the ultimate messengers from above. Believe in them and you will believe in God. Believe in them and you will believe in working and playing hard.

But then again, not everyone is fortunate to have parents, so ultimately, believe in yourself that your parents want you to do well and work and play hard for them.

What does educated mean to you?

"Choose something you love to do and you will never have to work a single day in your life."

To what extent does ones educational level help or hinder entrepreneurialship?

It doesn't help or hinder at all. Like what Henry Ford, who has very little formal education, said "Whether you can or you can't, you are right". Thomas Edison has only three years of formal education, yet he is known as the greatest inventor of all times. To me, I would like to make this distinction in education that it is not about the number of years you have spent in school. To most people, being educated means having a degree. So those who do not have a degree are uneducated. But to me, being educated refers to how much this person has learnt and continues to learn. Take for example Thomas Edison. He has very little formal education, but does this mean that he is uneducated? On the contrary, he is highly educated, just that it is through other means, such as self-learning. While education doesn't hinder entrepreneurship, it may be a burden at times. Like for instance, I have a degree and I have a comfortable job. So that may be a burden for me as I will then have a very high switching cost compared to someone who only have a GCE O' Level education. For those who have lesser education, there are probably lesser job options for them and they may not be able to go as far if they are employed, so they tend to strike out on their own as they have "nothing to lose". This is why you see that a lot of the Chinese towkays out there in the past are not very educated. In this sense, (formal) education can be a hindrance as someone who has a high education is likely to land up with a comfortable job and is thus dissuaded from being an entrepreneur. In Singapore, there are a lot of businesses set up in 2002 and 2003 when the economy is not doing very well. But if you look at last year when the economy is doing well, most people actually went to look for a job.

In the midst of studying..

Studying has become a chore but seriously.. my mind keeps on wondering la... But focus and perseverance is everything.. most imptly, need to study smart.. it will pay off in the end... COme on manish!!!

anyway... i must say.. fashion is a hugely subjective issue.. for me, fashion is best when dressed in its simplicity... i am always intrigued by what the opposite sex has to offer in terms of the kind of material they wear and all.. but all in all.. i think this is something that i can go into... providing girls with an opinion on the type of clothes that they should wear la seriously..

its simple.. the clothes u wear should match ur personality type or rather the kind of emotion or feelings or vibes u wanna portray.. but more than that.. u must feel comfortable in ur clothes.. hence my simplicity.. what i cant stand... is when u get dressed up to the point of u know WOW!!! and then when u speak and act and talk and just breathe.. its not totally wow after all.. what i want is fashion with substance.. u wanna look the look and walk the walk.. but u must talk the damn talk la... self esteem issues... more than that.. what kind of image u wanna portray.. pls dont wear clothes for the sake of wearing them.. u gotta feel good in them.. more than that.. Does the clothes make u...

anyway, Studyin has tested me in terms of my memory power.. i am gonna work really hard this time in terms of sustainability.. in the end.. be honest to urself.. does the clothes maketh the man..

Man Utd - Roma - the love for the game is back..

After watching Man Utd beat Roma by a single goal, although it could have been more than that for both teams, one thing is for sure.. it made me fall in love with Man Utd all over again... Wing Play at its finest and at its most deadliest... the name is OWEN HARGREAVES... when we lost david beckham, and lost gary neville, silvestre from time to time.. and we then had evra, ronaldo, heinze, kieran richardson, solskjaer, kleberson and now ronaldo, nani roaming the wings.. I thought Man Utd had lost the true art of wing play.. perfect crossing and perfect heading ability...I have always been a fan of teams that play football thru the wings. and more than that.. pack in a perfect cross... Examples.. Bentleys, Pedersen, Gerrard once in a while, Silvestre, gary neville and of course the master David Beckham...

Crossing is not simple thing. Its an art that u have to harness and finetune and grow over time... Hargreaves did just that this morning.. His crossing was solid, precise and he made crossing look like an art... he was my man of the match and he has found his niche for man utd... right back position or right wing or right of the 3 man midfield.. either way.. he has to put the balls in.. And a good cross is one that has spin, whip , speed, accuracy and most importantly, it has to be played at the right time... Thats what differentiates Man Utd from the liverpools and arsenals and chelseas... and that what makes the game of football such a joy to watch at times...thats why for all ronaldo has to offer.. he doesnt cross as much... in fact, i would rate nani a better crosser than ronaldo... Silvestre has always been a good crosser..

and now... talk about penalty's and all.. rite.. the another babel wannabe was mancini.. conveniently just dropped to the floor in a heap and pleaded for a penalty and he got it... and now when u wanna talk abt lady luck and all.. this was justice personified... de rossi blasted the ball away high into the stands.. and deservedly so... coz its a fact, it was a dive and the ref got conned.. same thing gerrard should have done. but i guess thats not football la.. being offered a penalty and missing it on purpose.. u would thing that these kind of incidents even out over the tournament.. in my eyes. liverpool have already used up all their get out of jail cards... the red devils... prob one card although him missing the penalty was totally justified... whereas gerrard scoring isnt.. haha.. what are the odds of a player missing the penalty just for the sake of justice and sportsmanship.. ZERO.. unless u are paolo di canio...

So the tie is all set... Man Utd Vs Barcelona... I figure hargreaves should play in the same manner again... he did much better than anderson i figure.... at this moment... Number of quality crossers who can actually wrap their foot around the ball and bend it like beckham...1) Hargreaves 2) Silvestre 3) Gary Neville 4) Nani

All in all, we are through to the next round...We won the game with a quality goal of the highest order.. a goal that the gods of football would have been proud of.. Take a bow son, Take a bow.

Liverpool - Arsenal

After watching the liverpool arsenal trilogy and after the final leg especially at anfield... damn bloody pissed off la and downright pissed off with the referee... Come on la.. seriously... liverpool were very very very very lucky to make it to the semi-finals la seriously.. for all my passion and interest for the romance and love of the game and the way it should be played... Liverpool should not have won.. That lame ass ryan babel just had to fall down in such a way with hands and legs all over such that the referee was duped into giving away the penalty... Come on la.. Luck is what Liverpool have right now going for them in the Champions League only... Thats the way they envision themselves to be la... Kings of Europe, paupers of their own league.. If liverpool did not have gerrard and torres, i would want to go on and on abt liverpool were really undeservedly through to the semis...

Arsenal play football the way the gods of football wanted it to be played.. Liverpool play football the way gerrard and torres wants it to be played.. full of fire and enthusiasm and with the support of anfield behind them... THe referee is the biggest ass of a fool in this case, if he could award that penalty to liverpool for 100 percent dive by babel.. in my eyes taht is.. and even more than that.. the famous garcia goal that never went in agst chelsea... and more than that.. the very fact that milan should have destroyed liverpool that night.. Liverpool have something going for them la in all this cup tournaments.. They should play all the cup tournaments with their weakest team and they should still go thru la.. The African Nations Cup, The Italian Cup, french, german, world cup, european cup , singtel cup, cup at temasek carnival held in my junior college in which my class won... coz u know why.. the Referee is a messenger from the God Of Football... I have no idea why HLEB's penalty was not given and Babel's was given... no idea.. no idea why liverpool scored the goal from a corner, from a senderos mistake, a non penalty and lastly a proper goal by babelicious.. scary la.. seriously.. if this is football, then we should get s league players to play for liverpool... coz the kop alone and the referee will win the game for them...

I seriously wanted Arsenal to go thru la... but i guess its not meant to be la.. If not for gerrard and torres... Just look at the gunner's goals la... the first goal was beautifully crafted and weaved.. the one 2 passing and the second goal was a mark of a sprinter la just avoiding tackles and laying off the ball for adebayor to score..

Pool depended on individual moments of brilliance from the referee , torres, babel of course... Arsenal depended on beautiful movement and mastery of the ball... Liverpool depended on the finishing of torres and of course the poor pathetic defending of senderos the great.. Arsenal made a stupid move.. he should have subbed out senderos and moved eboue to a right back position.. kolo toure and gallas could have resumed their partnership at the centre of the defence.. oh well.. This is football.. If liverpool were to mean the trophy for the 6 th time.. I guess they can just stop playing in the league.. ask them take part in all the cup tournaments.. i wouldnt mind la.. Singtel Cup or the Malaysian Cup.. gerrard scoring a few scorchers.. torres with his dribbling all.. haha.. crap la.. Liverpool lucky, Arsenal not. Actually not really la.. arsenal had a very poor defender... senderos.. liverpool had a solid backline and all i think so. eventhough they conceded 2 goals.. but those goals even the best defence would have conceded.. ok la enough.. fed up of all this talk.. Lets hope the Red Devils prove a point today that you have to play football the right way without intervention from the referee especially..

The time is now..

Yes i quite agree with the various opinions raised regarding the issue of why studying has been so torturous yet fun at times.. i guess too much and no time to actually enjoy the content like an art piece or a piece of art whereby u can just sit there and gaze and savour each pixel and molecule on the art piece.. whereas in university world.. they give you a piece of art.. even before you can sit down and enjoy the art piece, they give you a new one...

Interest is crucial as mentioned by the annonymous writer.. Yes hundred percent.. Nothing beats doing something that u love thru and thru... but then finding the exact interest area is crucial as well.. Interest = passion = job prospects = sustainability ... u always need to re invent urself and re energize urself.. and most importantly u need impact and appeal and ultimately fire!!! music music music.. u need inspiration, turn to your favourite song!!!

There is a bit of everything involved...

Seriously, there are so many things one person can do.. but out of necessity and my future.... its the time to buck up and knuckle down to our favourite term in my unu life.. Studies

Just a few words to describe my whole studying experience so far

Pressure

Torture

Insightful

Fun

Eye opening

Really challenging

Too many things on short notice

Fear of failure

But its the joy of success as well..

Ultimately, its a test of how much my brain can store..

Its seriously pissing off that uni is nowhere what i imagined it to be... there is no time to love or enjoy the content i am takin into my mind... University sytem in the country is a complete mess... its disastrous... The Education System is in need of a total overhaul... Knowledge based learning, less teaching more learning... no wonder we have to stick to the life long learning concept as our govt likes to say.. coz seriously we have to make up for whatever we could not take in during our time in college and uni days... Complaining is no point.. What i can do.. is either sit down and not do a thing.. or Take over the post of the Minister of Education Portfolio.. That is something i will do... Just need to clear my exams.. We have lost the true essence of learning and enjoying the content that we are taking in.. I figure our education system is a result of whats happenin in India, China... They just stuff you with tonnes of knowledge and just vomit it out on the exams..So we are just the messengers... so be it.. That post is mine.. I will still remember what ONIATTA EFFENDI said to me.. my english teacher back in secondary school

"Manish, just clear ur o levels, a levels all these routine stuff and then.. trust me in uni.. thats where u will really enjoy studying... " I would really love to meet her now and tell her abt this perceived enjoyment she was talking abt.. I figure its some sort of propaganda that she was told to spread to us secondary sch kids...So that we will be fueled by it so as to ensure that we reach to the university level at the minimum... I really hope thats it true.. but i guess competition in the world has caused us to lose the true meaning of living... Lets make our own world...

There is a bit of everything involved...

One fine day..

In just one huge Tuesday, I have managed to consider to go from boom to bust to boom again... I have gone from hell back to mother nature and back to hell again and may be just hit onto something that i might be able to catch on...

The fact that my stats test wasnt done the way I should have done... completely disappointing and at the same time, it has ignited my fire to avenge that mistake on the final paper.. so all is not lost... just gotta be focussed and sooner or later.. victory will be mine.. but seriously, sometimes its just totally and incredibly stupid la.. This is one mistake and misconception that i am glad happened now.. Now moving on to the more pertinent issue.. The Interview

This interview with this malay guy for the minor in entrepreneur has made me think thru once again as in what i want to do with my career.. It seems like i have got all the foundation and fire in there, i just to find the spark.. i want to get my hands dirty and start working for myself.. i wanna find that lead..once again i will go and on..

The issue here... Why is it that i am taking so long to decide.. pple say to take ur time and slowly it will come before. some say go and discover urself and go and explore.. why is it so difficult... its coming to the point that i need to be shoved into a situation where there are no choices and only one choice and that is no choice... I go bonkers when i have choices upon me.. Had this discussion with the malay interviewer.. it was damn casual and i liked the fact.. he said that dont u think the NBS Degree wound be sufficient to start a business or even kick start my own business.. I said " Bollocks to you la" If u think by studyin a degree makes u a possible businessman or kick start ur business.. u gotta go out there and make it happen la.. u gotta get ur hands dirty and feel the fire burning within you.. and its for this very reason i think i shall follow the lead of others.. coz whats the point of going solo when my aim is not fixed... I gotta make a decision sooner rather than later... Before that, a game of football at the Olimpico Stadium first..

Man U vs ROMA. what u say.. i say a one nil victory for man u...

Once again i say that the jc curriculum should just be abolished... why is that? why do we have the Integrated programmes now!! why do we have project work.. the whole point of studyin in jc is not abt the studying la.. its abt the interactions, standing up and speakin out.. presenting urself. improving urself as a person and making the right connections.. in fact we should start from secondary sch.. we need to feel responsible for our futures.. RIght now at this moment of time..... Confusion confusion... Lets unlock that confusion la!!! Power to the max..
